I see who I wanna be, In my daughter's eyes.
I find reason to believe, In my daughter's eyes.
I've seen the light, It's in my daughter's eyes.
When I'm gone I hope you see how happy she made me....
For I'll be there, In my daughter's eyes.

Carolina Lily Renovates Teen Room and Playroom
at Ronald MacDonald House of Chapel Hill

National Charity League, Inc. Carolina Lily Chapter proudly announces the completion of The renovation of the teen and playroom at Ronald MacDonald House of Chapel Hill! Carolina Lily's were involved from conception to completion.  Many hours were committed to preparing plans, collaborating with RMH, soliciting for community support and doing all the physical labor!  We are so excited that the children and families of Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill can now enjoy these new spaces. Many thanks to those that contributed so much of your time planning and executing this project. Job well done!

There is no better press then having a young girl say she loves the rooms! Check out this RMH article to see what she and her family have to say: http://www.rmh-chapelhill.org/page/long-time-friends-of-the-house-stop-by-for-a-visit

Philanthropy Numbers for 2013-2014 Year!

Our philanthropy numbers have been compiled for the 2013-2014 year.
Carolina Lily chapter served a total of 6,983 hours which is amazing! This is a 25% increase from last year.  We made 31,000 cookies for the USO and Brown Bag Ministries, 1,624 stockings  for military children, donated 1,938 books and 7,500 poptops for Ronald McDonald House.  Our ticktockers were very busy too! They organized an RMH Easter Party and Valentines Party, collected 51 scarves for Interfaith Food Shuttle and baked and participated as a class at Brown Bag Ministries in Moore Square.  We are off to a good start this summer and anticipate even higher volunteer hours this year. From April 1st through June 1st, 2014 the chapter has already served 877 hours. The possibilities are endless with this group!

Philanthropy News

This year we participated in the Special Olympics for the first time in years. We had volunteers working at the opening ceremonies, the track and field events, baseball skills and the aquatics events. Over 1,400 athletes across the state participated in the Special Olympics this year. We had so much fun interacting with the athletes. We are looking forward to returning again next year!
